Join Preservation Burlington, NC at the Thomas Day + Milton, NC Tour on Saturday, September 17 from 10:00a - 4:00p to experience the master craftsmanship of Thomas Day and the town that celebrates his legacy.
Thomas Day was a free man of color and a highly successful businessman in Caswell County, North Carolina in the 1800s. He was a master carpenter, cabinet maker and craftsman, and is known nationwide for his unique interiors & furniture.
The Thomas Day + Milton, NC Tour includes learning about the history & life of Thomas Day, as well as the history of Milton, NC, with personal accounts & historic connections from the tour guide.

The Thomas Day Museum (also known as “The Tavern”)
Historic Local Shops & Galleries
Historic structures containing Thomas Day architecture
Currently, the public has the opportunity to have an up close and personal experience at the Thomas Day Museum including touching the furniture. There are about 60 Thomas Day homes standing that have his interiors in Milton, NC.
