What is the Burlington Historic Preservation Commission?

Hint: It's not us!

The Burlington Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) is a Burlington City Commission. This commission governs all changes to the exterior of homes located in the West Davis-West Front-Fountain Place Historic District and Glencoe Mill Village Historic District. This includes landscaping, changes to windows, any exterior structural changes, improvements or additions. We recommend you contact the City Planning Department before removing trees or starting any exterior renovation projects.

Historic Bronze Plaques

Have you ever wondered what makes a historic home special enough to receive a historic bronze plaque mounted by the front door? Wonder no more! Your historic home has a special story too and it deserves to be distinguished with the same honor.
